Alison Dos Santos is an experienced community engagement professional with a background in organizing and promoting events for various organizations. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Independent Living of South Florida, Inc. since 2019, Alison previously held the position of Community Engagement Representative at The Icla da Silva Foundation, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. Alison's experience also includes academic roles, having completed a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree with dual majors in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Portuguese Language from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior positions encompass roles at the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, specializing in event coordination, and as a Social Media Marketing Intern at Skylight Inc., focusing on outreach and fundraising for human rights and social justice initiatives. Early in Alison's career, an office assistant position at Scripps Community of Resources and Empowerment provided foundational skills in program promotion and event organization.
