Lauren Mitchell

Litigation Supervisor, Manhattan Practice at Center for Family Representation

Lauren Mitchell is a litigation supervisor for the Manhattan Practice at the Center for Family Representation. Lauren has worked at the Center for Family Representation since January 2011, first as a law graduate and then as a litigation supervisor. Prior to working at the Center for Family Representation, Lauren was a post-graduate fellow at the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law, where they researched and wrote memos on child abuse registries, incarcerated parents with child protective cases, and corporal punishment laws. Lauren has also worked as an instructor for the Cornell University Prison Education Program, teaching constitutional criminal procedure to incarcerated individuals at a correctional facility in upstate New York. Lauren has also worked as a law clerk for Attorneys for Children and the Cornell Law Capital Post-Conviction Clinic.

Lauren Mitchell attended Pomona College for their undergraduate degree, where they studied public policy analysis with a focus in psychology. Lauren then attended Cornell Law School where they earned their J.D. in public law. Lauren is currently attending the University of Cape Town to earn their law degree.

They are on a team with Patricia Ramirez - Office Manager, Manhattan Practice, Melissa Lombreglia - Senior Staff Attorney Advocate, Manhattan Practice, and Anna Ishii - Social Work Supervisor, Manhattan Practice. Their manager is Alexandra Rosin, Co-Director of Manhattan Family Defense Practice & Litigation Supervisor.
