Silva Mathema, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of immigration and policy analysis. Silva most recently served as the Director of Immigration at the Center for American Progress, where they had been working since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Associate Director of Policy, Immigration from January 2020 to July 2022. From January 2016 to December 2019, they worked as a Senior Policy Analyst, Immigration at the same organization. Silva then pursued their Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2006 to 2012. Silva also briefly attended Randolph College in 2002 and 2003, although their degree and field of study at that institution are unknown.
