Markus Schwarze has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Schwarze began their career as a PLM Consultant at CENIT in 1995 and worked there until 2000. Following this, they joined Toyota Motorsport GmbH in 2001 as an IT Manager for Technical Applications, where they remained until 2010. Schwarze then returned to CENIT in 2010, initially as a PLM Project Manager before progressing to the role of Director - Business Unit CenProCS in 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President Digital Business Services at CENIT.

Markus Schwarze obtained a Diplom Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from Fachhochschule Darmstadt. In November 2017, they also earned a certification as a SAFe 4 Certified Agilist from scaledagile.com.
