Doubell Chamberlain is a seasoned professional in the field of financial sector development, serving as the Managing Director, co-founder, and board member of Cenfri since April 2007, where the focus is on enhancing the lives of low-income individuals through financial services across developing markets in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Chamberlain has held significant roles in various organizations, including the Microinsurance Network as Board Chair from 2017 to November 2020, and as a member of the Smart Campaign Standards Committee from 2017 to 2019. Previous experience includes serving as Board member and investment committee member at Fintech Africa, and as Insurance theme lead at FinMark Trust. Chamberlain's career began at Genesis Analytics as an Engagement Manager, where a focus on financial inclusion was developed through numerous projects across several countries. Academically, Chamberlain holds a Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Development Economics, a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Economics (cum laude), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, all from Stellenbosch University.
