María Isabel Sánchez is a mechanical engineering professional with diverse experience in research and engineering internships. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at SOS Carbon since June 2024, María previously held the role of Prototype Engineer Intern at Callaway Golf from June to August 2023. As a CAS Fellow at the Cellular Agriculture Society, María contributed to the South America chapter of the "Modern Meat" textbook and conducted research on the economic viability of cultured meat in the Dominican Republic. Additional experiences include working as a Research Assistant in the Dauskardt Lab at Stanford University, focusing on skin biomechanics, and serving as a Course Development Assistant for an introductory chemistry seminar. María's earlier roles include project internships and marketing positions, complemented by a solid educational background with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering expected in June 2025 and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Stanford University.
