Guangyu Zhu has a wealth of experience in the scientific field, having worked for a number of companies since 1998. Guangyu began their career as a Research Scientist at VitaSweet Co. Ltd., followed by a Postdoc Research Associate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2004. Guangyu then moved to Solidus Biosciences as a PostDoc in 2008 and to MedImmune Vaccines as a Scientist I in 2009. In 2013, Zhu became a Principal Scientist at Novartis, followed by a Research Scientist at Elanco in 2015. In 2017, they moved to Pfizer as a Principal Scientist, and in 2019 they became a Principal Scientist at Ology Bioservices, Inc. Most recently, they are the Director of Downstream Process Development at Cellics Therapeutics, Inc., a position they have held since 2021.
Guangyu Zhu began their educational journey in 1990 when they attended Tsinghua University and earned a B.S in Chemical Engineering. Guangyu then went on to earn a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Process Engineering in 1998. Finally, they completed their education in 2004 when they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Akron. Prior to this, they had attended Huangchuan Middle and High School.
