Armin Ehninger is a highly experienced professional in the field of cell therapy and biotechnology. Currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at Cellex Cell Professionals since November 2024, Armin leads a full-service CDMO that supports biopharma and academia with comprehensive services in cell and gene therapy. Armin previously held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at AvenCell from July 2021 to October 2024 and served as Chief Scientific Officer, Managing Director, and co-founder at GEMoaB GmbH (now AvenCell Europe GmbH) from July 2013 to June 2021, where preclinical operations and quality systems were established. Early research experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the HI-STEM Heidelberg Institute for Stem Cell Technology and time as a graduate student at both DKFZ German Cancer Research Center and ISREC Swiss Institute of Cancer Research. Armin holds a Diplom Biologe degree in Technical Biology from the University of Stuttgart, completed in 2006.
