Nicole Antczak, Ph.D.

Senior Scientist II at Celldex Therapeutics

Nicole Antczak has a diverse work experience in the scientific and academic field. Nicole started their career as a Pharmacy Tech at Rochester General Hospital from August 2005 to August 2009. Nicole then pursued their academic journey, working as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University from September 2011 to February 2018. During this time, they focused on bacterial cell expression and purification, as well as teaching general chemistry and a laboratory course.

Nicole gained international experience through their roles at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer from April 2018 to June 2020. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, they conducted research on DNA polymerases and designed chimeric DNA polymerases. Nicole also served as a mentor for the NSF Research Experience for Undergrads Program, training undergraduate students in techniques used in the biochemistry lab.

Continuing their academic journey, Nicole worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Skidmore College from August 2020 to May 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Celldex Therapeutics, starting in January 2023. Overall, Nicole's work experience demonstrates their expertise in scientific research, teaching, and mentorship.

Nicole Antczak obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from St. John Fisher University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Chemistry at Northeastern University from 2011 to 2017. In addition to their formal educational background, they obtained a certification in "Python for Non-Programmers" from LinkedIn in August 2022.
