Gino Rea

Senior Digital Design Engineer at Celestial AI

Gino Rea has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gino is currently working as a Senior Digital Design Engineer at Celestial AI since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Gainspeed, Inc. as an FPGA Engineer from June 2013 to January 2017. Gino also had a role as a Software Engineer at Calix from November 2012 to June 2013.

Before joining Calix, Gino worked at Ericsson as a Software Engineer II FPGA Design from April 2011 to November 2012. In this role, they designed and implemented complex FPGA circuits for a GPON OLT board, improved VHDL code quality, and developed drivers in C for the MicroBlaze host micro-controller.

Gino's work experience also includes being a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas from January 2009 to March 2011. During this time, they conducted research in advanced modulation techniques and synchronization and successfully designed and implemented an FPGA-based SOQPSK-TG demodulator.

Additionally, Gino had an internship at Sprint Nextel in 2008, where they worked as a Network Engineering Intern. Their responsibilities included data validation and acceptance testing, monitoring data feed, and testing post-installation configuration for an online network elements data collection and monitoring service.

Gino Rea obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Gino further pursued their studies at the same university and earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Gino Rea obtained a certification in Communication Foundations from LinkedIn in January 2020.
