Steve Vernon has a diverse work experience. Steve is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan since October 2023. Previously, they held the position of Interim CEO at the same company from April 2023 to October 2023. Before that, they worked as the Director of Business Development from November 2019 to April 2023. Prior to joining Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan, Steve was the CEO of Gratiot Integrated Health Network from September 2015 to August 2019. Steve also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Gratiot County Community Mental Health from October 2011 to September 2015. Steve started their career as a Staff Accountant at Boge, Wybenga, and Bradley, P.C. from October 2001 to December 2009, where they handled tax preparation, financial statement preparation, and tax projections for various clients.

Steve Vernon attended Central Michigan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting in 2001. Steve later pursued a Master of Science in Administration, specializing in Public Administration, from the same university and completed it in 2015.
