Emily Wong

Research Scientist at Ceapro

Emily Wong's work experience includes positions as a Research Scientist at Ceapro, where they generated and analyzed biopolymers and composite materials, as well as bioactive and pharmaceutical ingredient loaded biopolymer samples. Emily also conducted sample preparation, purification, and impregnation optimization. Prior to that, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Alberta, where they completed a 4-month research project supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Award. Additionally, they gained experience as a Quality Control Intern at HQ Fine Foods.

Emily Wong received their BSc Honors in Food Science from the University of Alberta between the years 2013 and 2018. Emily is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree at the same university in the field of Food Science and Technology, with a start year of 2021.
