Ashkan Rezaei is a Senior R&D Engineer at CCC Intelligent Solutions since April 2022, focusing on building Foundation Transformer models for car damage detection. Previously, Ashkan served as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago from August 2015 to May 2022, teaching various computer science courses. Prior experience includes a Research Intern role at CCC Intelligent Solutions, where efforts improved the upscaling of insurance claim photos significantly, and at Microsoft, where Ashkan built seq2seq models for text summarization. Ashkan also has teaching and development experience from roles at the Vienna University of Technology and Research Studios Austria. Ashkan holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BSc in Software and Information Engineering from Technische Universität Wien.
