Jon Greener has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Jon began their career as a Drilling Engineer and Wellsite Leader at Amoco in 1984, responsible for exploration and development drilling. Jon then moved on to become a Wells Team Leader at Amoco, overseeing new venture exploration drilling and project planning in various regions.
In 1996, Jon joined BP as a Senior Wellsite Leader and Drilling Supervisor, managing the delivery of a high-pressure, high-temperature exploration well in the Norwegian North Sea. Jon subsequently held the position of Wells Team Leader and Drilling Superintendent at BP, supervising exploration and development drilling operations in Bolivia and the Gulf of Suez.
In 2000, Jon took on the role of Wells Operation Manager at BP, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and the development program for the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field. Jon was also responsible for platform start-ups, procurement, contracting, and staffing planning.
From 2008 to 2010, Jon served as the Wells Operations Manager for ultra-deepwater multi-well development programs in offshore Angola, managing annual budgets and split-site teams.
In 2010, they joined Hess Corporation as the Drilling and Completions Manager, leading a deepwater exploration program in the Northern Red Sea and the entry into Kurdistan, Iraq. Jon was involved in contracting strategy and interfaced with the National Oil Company for approvals.
In 2013, Jon returned to BP as a Senior Wells Operations Specialist, providing operational management and oversight for a major gas development field. Jon also played a role in a subsea gas development program and worked closely with Major Projects.
In 2018, Jon took on executive roles in two companies. Jon became the CEO of Rock On Drilling Ltd and the VP of International Operations at CBW Engineering, a Subterra Engineering Company. The specific responsibilities for these roles are not provided.
Jon Greener completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum at Montana Technological University from 1980 to 1984.
