Karla Miller has a diverse work experience across multiple companies and roles. Karla started their career in 1997 at NCR Corporation, where they served as an Email Administrator and was responsible for the messaging environment for 31,000 employees. Karla also handled the installation, monitoring, and support of Exchange 5. During their time at NCR Corporation, they also worked as a Senior Network Engineer, where they managed Checkpoint firewalls, installed and upgraded Fortimanager, and troubleshooted Checkpoint firewalls deployed worldwide.

In 2019, Karla joined Fortis College-Centerville as an Adjunct Instructor. In this role, they taught network administration courses with a focus on TCP/IP fundamentals and security. Karla also developed and led hands-on lab exercises to help students gain practical knowledge. Additionally, they taught online courses in healthcare informatics to students across the US.

Karla later joined Entegrity Consulting Group, LLC in 2022 as a Senior Network Engineer before moving on to CBTS in the same year as a Network Engineer.

Karla Miller's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business from Wright State University, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Dayton, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Professional Writing from Miami University. In addition to their formal education, Karla has also obtained certifications in (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) from (ISC)2 and Cisco Certified Network Associate Service Provider Operations (CCNA) from Cisco.
