Karl Botts is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the financial sector. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Cboe Global Markets since February 2020, Karl previously held similar senior roles at FT Options and KCM Options, where significant contributions included designing the Signals System for equity option trading. Karl’s career also encompasses contract development for various clients, including CitadelGroup and Goldenberg/Heymeyer LLC, and earlier positions such as Senior Software Engineer at Equitec Proprietary Markets and Chief IQAS Architect at Ibbotson Associates. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Roosevelt University, Karl has developed a diverse skill set, focusing on trading systems, network communication, and quantitative analysis tools throughout a career spanning several decades.
