Commander Rico Jensen retired from Law Enforcement after working for 20 years as a Police Officer for the South Salt Lake Police Department. Throughout his police career, Rico served as a Narcotics Detective (4 yrs), Metro Gang Unit Detective (4 yrs), and SWAT Commander/operator (16 yrs). He was later promoted to Sergeant and became the Commander over the SWAT team and the Firearms Instructor cadre. While working as an officer, Rico was also teaching as an adjunct instructor at the Utah Police Academy, where he taught firearms and all scenario-based training for 13 yrs. After retiring, Rico then began to work for a non-profit organization, Operation Underground Railroad, as the manager of operations. Rico was traveling throughout the world working with numerous law enforcement agencies to combat child sex trafficking. Due to his experience and leadership abilities, Rico was then selected and assigned as the Commander of the Executive Protection group for CBI, where he manages and trains officers of the highest caliber within the organization. Rico continues to bring his work ethic, skill set and experience to the officers and clients of CBI.
