Judith Purves has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Judith began their career as an Accountant at Grant Thornton UK LLP in 1987 and worked there until 1992. Judith then moved on to IBM Global Services, where they served as the Director of Finance and Operations from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they joined IBM Canada as the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for various financial aspects of the company until 2014. Judith then took on a global role as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at IBM Global Financing, reporting to the IBM Treasurer and regularly interacting with the IBM CFO. In 2015, they joined CBC/Radio-Canada as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Judith Purves has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from both ICAEW and The University of Edinburgh. Their field of study was Accounting and Business/Management.
