Tertius Baard is a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Specialist at CBCL Limited since June 2015, Tertius previously held the position of Principal Piping Engineer at MegChem Engineering & Drafting Services from March 2010 to May 2015, where responsibilities included the design of piping systems in accordance with client specifications and design codes while managing a team of engineers. Earlier, Tertius worked as a Systems Engineer at PBMR from January 2006 to February 2010, handling duties related to the compressed air system and reactor systems. Tertius's career began at Hatch from February 1999 to December 2005 as a Mechanical Engineer, primarily serving as lead piping engineer on a multi-discipline engineering team. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering, specializing in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch, obtained between 1993 and 1998.
