Cecilia Biancacci has a diverse background in aquaculture and marine research. Cecilia is currently working as an Aquaculture Scientist at Cawthron Institute, specializing in seaweed aquaculture. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Deakin University, where they conducted research from 2020 to 2023. Cecilia also served as a Ph.D. student at SAMS (Scottish Association of Marine Sciences) from 2015 to 2019, focusing on cultivating Osmundea pinnatifida for aquaculture. Earlier in their career, they held a fellowship at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, where they researched the nutraceutical properties of processed fish products and worked with echinoculture of Paracentrotus lividus. Furthermore, they completed an internship at the same institution, where they gained experience in aquaculture, including phytoplankton cultures, maintenance of sea urchin larvae, and diet analysis. Cecilia Biancacci has a strong educational background in the field of marine sciences. Cecilia completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marine Science from the Scottish Association for Marine Science in the years 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Marine Bio-ecology from the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, which they pursued from 2012 to 2014. Cecilia'sacademic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where they studied from 2009 to 2012.
