Steven Like has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Steven started their career in 1981 as a Partner at Warrick & Boyn, where they developed a strong clientele in the RV, MH, and Recreational Boat industries. Steven achieved full partnership after only four years and became the lead partner for labor relations, civil rights, welfare benefits plans, and retirement plans. In 1995, they joined Patriot Homes, Inc. as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel, where they served for 14 years. In 2009, Steven founded their own law office, the Law Offices of Steven K. Like, where they worked as the Principal and Founder for a year. Later, in 2010, they joined Cavco as the Senior Vice President, and in 2013, they became the President of Insurco Reinsurance Ltd., serving until 2016.

Steven Like attended South Knox High School from 1970 to 1974, where they obtained a Diploma. Steven then enrolled at DePauw University from 1974 to 1978, majoring in Economics and earning a B.A. Later, from 1978 to 1981, they attended Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington, graduating with a J.D. degree in Law.
