Michael Smith is an experienced project manager and civil engineer with a diverse background in municipal engineering. Currently serving as Project Manager for Shannon Pot and Cavan Burren Park at Cavan County Council since April 2020, Michael has held multiple roles within the council including Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer. Prior experience includes working as an Assistant Engineer in the Department of Transportation at Meath County Council and as a Senior Executive Technician at Monaghan County Council. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Site Agent at CLM, overseeing landfill construction, and as an Earthworks Agent at Ascon Civils, involved in major motorway projects. Michael holds a BSc Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from Dundalk Institute of Technology, complemented by studies at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and St. Pat's.
