Ali Ghomi, MD, serves as an Assistant Medical Director at CAVA Robotics, specializing in Gynecologic robotic surgery and robotic program cost-effectiveness and program optimization. Dr. Ghomi has recently assumed the position of Chief of Urogynecology & Pelvic Surgery, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, St Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson, New Jersey. Prior to his current role, Dr Ghomi served as the Chief of Robotic Surgery at Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, NY for more than ten years. Double Board-Certified in Ob/Gyn and Urogynecology, Dr. Ghomi is a high-volume Gyn/UroGyn surgeon, averaging 450 robotic cases annually with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Ghomi obtained his MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine with a Fellowship from AAGL / SRS in Advanced Gynecologic Endoscopic Surgery. He has published more than one dozen journal publications, is an active speaker and educator nationally in robotic surgery, and launched the first gynecologic robotic epicenter in New York State.
