John M. Brown is an experienced event coordinator and alumni relations professional with a strong background in higher education and athletics. Currently serving as the Event Coordinator at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud since November 2022, John previously held the position of Associate Director of Alumni Relations at St. Cloud State University from April 2014 to October 2022, where efforts included reinventing Homecoming and adapting alumni engagement events to virtual platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior experience includes roles at Drake University as Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, where John focused on fundraising, donor engagement, and alumni-driven activities. Early career experience as a Special Events Assistant at Sodexo Campus Services involved coordinating a variety of events. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa and a Master of Public Administration from Drake University.
