Vincenzo Germano has a diverse work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and consultancy. Vincenzo started their career as a Research Assistant and Independent Consultant at the Technical University of Bari in 2005. Vincenzo then worked as a Geotechnical Engineer at Geotechnical Consulting Group (GCG) from 2008 to 2011, where they focused on projects involving soil-structure interaction. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Geotechnical Consultant at Soil srl. Following that, they joined Cotecchia Associates in 2014 as an Associate Consultant, where they were involved in a wide range of design activities related to geotechnical engineering. In 2018, they worked as an Associate Director at CGL (Card Geotechnics Limited) for a few months. Vincenzo currently holds the position of Computational Geomechanics Specialist and Head of Geotechnics at Cathie, a global consultancy firm specializing in "seabed and below" solutions for energy organizations and contractors.
Vincenzo Germano earned an Engineer's degree in Civil Engineering from Politecnico di Bari, where they studied from 1994 to 2001. Afterwards, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Advanced Constitutive Modeling and Finite Element Analysis at the same institution from 2002 to 2005. In addition, they hold certifications as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Italian Chamber of Civil Engineers, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
