Prior to this, they worked at CSX for many years in various roles, including Senior Manager of Regional Sales, Manager of Short Line Development, Manager of Strategic Planning, Manager of Short Lines & Service Start-Up, Manager of Service Start-Up & Integration, Manager of TSI Carload, Trainmaster at B&O Chicago Terminal, Terminal Trainmaster in Cumberland, MD, and Management Trainee in Operations. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for managing relationships, driving growth initiatives, negotiating contracts, and maximizing market share. Matthew has successfully transitioned multiple short line transactions and has extensive experience in process mapping and standardization. Matthew's expertise and track record of success make him a valuable asset in the rail industry.
Matthew McLaughlin obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Matthew then pursued an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from the College of Central Florida from 2004 to 2006. Matthew went on to earn their MBA from Saint Leo University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from CSX in May 2016.
