Daniel A. Gutierrez is a skilled scientist currently working at CatenaBio since June 2022. Prior to this role, Daniel completed a PhD program in Neuroscience at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from June 2013 to May 2022, where significant research included developing a novel method for repurposing intracellular fluorescent biosensors and earning a NINDS NIH F31 Fellowship. Daniel also served as a Research Associate at the Gene Therapy Center, focusing on AAV vector production optimization. Earlier experience includes working as an Assistant Lab Manager at Impossible Foods, where responsibilities included coordinating a company relocation and assisting in facility design. Daniel began their research career as a Biomedical Researcher at San Jose State University, studying microRNA expression in cervical carcinoma, and contributed as an NSF-REU Researcher. Daniel earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a focus on Molecular Biology from San Jose State University in 2012.
