Sangeeta Sakaria has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 2017, they served as the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Catalina Island Medical Center and also worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine Health. Prior to that, they were a Clinical Associate in the Section of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine from 2015 to 2017. Sangeeta also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Sinai Health System from 2015 to 2016. Sangeeta began their career as an Emergency Medicine Resident at the University of Chicago Medical Center from 2012 to 2015. Before venturing into healthcare, they worked as a Bilingual Elementary Teacher at NYC DOE from 2005 to 2007.
Sangeeta Sakaria has an MPH in Global Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Sangeeta obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Indiana University School of Medicine. Sangeeta also holds an MST in Bilingual Elementary Education from Pace University. Sangeeta completed a BA in Individualized Major in Human Biology and another BA in Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington.
