Rayna Brown

Director, Environment Health Safety & Sustainability at Catalent

Rayna Brown, MS, CIH, CSP has a diverse work experience in the field of environment health safety and sustainability. Rayna is currently serving as the Director of Environment Health Safety & Sustainability at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Central Missouri, teaching Occupational Risk and Safety Science. Rayna has also held leadership roles in professional organizations, serving as the President of AIHA Mid-America Local Section and President Elect before that. Rayna has contributed to the industry through their role as a member of the Industry Advisory Council at ABET and as a member of the Emerging Professionals Committee at the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. In their previous roles, Rayna was responsible for managing health and safety programs at Kansas City National Security Campus and Evergy, where they held positions as Lead Industrial Hygienist, Sr. Industrial Hygienist, and Industrial Hygienist. Rayna also gained experience in safety, health, and environmental management as a SHE Supervisor at Unilever. Rayna started their career as an EH&S Intern at Kiewit and gained further experience as a Safety, Health, and Environmental Specialist Intern at DuPont.

Rayna Brown holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Central Missouri, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from the same university, graduating from an ABET Accredited Program from 2011 to 2014. Rayna also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Art/Art Studies, General from Metropolitan Community College-Business & Technology, attained between 2010 and 2012. In addition to their education, Rayna has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including being a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) from the relevant institutions.
