Andrea Ahern is an experienced professional in the field of energy and environmental technologies, currently serving as the VP of Net-Zero Projects IE at CATAGEN LIMITED since July 2023. Previous roles include Portfolio Director at EIH2 and Hydrogen Programme Manager at Gas Networks Ireland, where Andrea developed governance structures for hydrogen activities and managed teams to deliver significant research and pilot projects. At Ervia, Andrea managed a complex carbon capture and storage feasibility study and led a specialized team. Early career experience includes project management at the International Energy Research Centre and multiple positions at Shell, focusing on technical safety and catalyst performance. Andrea holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from University College Cork and a Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Thinking from Trinity College Dublin.
