Brooke Silverthorn, JD, has a diverse work experience in the field of child advocacy and policy. Brooke is currently the Senior Director of Judicial & National Engagement at Casey Family Programs. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Lecturer at Georgia State University College of Law, where they taught law students and supervised interns. Additionally, they served as the Director of Legal and Policy Advocacy at the National Association of Counsel for Children for five years. Brooke has also held roles as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law and as a Special Assistant Attorney General at the Law Office of BN Silverthorn. Throughout their career, they have focused on representing the best interests of children in legal proceedings and has provided guidance on legislation and policies related to child welfare.
Brooke Silverthorn, JD received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Michigan State University in 1998. Brooke then went on to attend Georgia State University College of Law, where they completed their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 2003, specializing in Law. In 2010, Brooke obtained a certification in Child Welfare Law Specialist from the National Association of Counsel for Children.
