Cherie Leyva possesses extensive experience in emergency medical services and education, serving as an ACLS and PALS Instructor at Cascade Healthcare Services since January 2012. Leyva has held the position of Lieutenant Paramedic at Lacey Fire District #3 since August 2003 and is also a Paramedic Instructor/Preceptor and Clinical Director at Tacoma Community College, a role started in September 1999. Additionally, Leyva has been a Water Aerobic Instructor at The Valley Athletic Club, LLC. since January 1993 and has contributed as an Instructor/Evaluator for Thurston County Medic One since 1991. Leyva earned an Associate of Science degree in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) from Tacoma Community College in 1997.
