Lachlan Krautz has worked in the software engineering industry for over a decade. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for Cascade. Prior to this, they worked at Rex Software from 2017 to 2021, where they held the roles of Senior Backend Developer and Backend Architect. Before that, they were a Lead Software Engineer at Evocca College from 2009 to 2017.

Lachlan Krautz obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design from The University of Queensland between 2003 and 2008.
