Chief of Organizing and Leadership Elizabeth Alex, MSW, joined CASA in 2005. Since then, she has played a critical role in expanding the organization and developing member leaders, including opening offices and creating new member committees in Baltimore, Maryland and York, Pennsylvania. Some of these campaign victories include the Maryland DREAM Act, Maryland Highway Safety Act, Welcoming City policies in four jurisdictions, and Municipal Identification legislation in Baltimore, Maryland. Elizabeth holds a Master of Social Work in Management and Community Organizing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has over 20 years of community organizing experience in the U.S, Africa, and Latin America.
