Luis Herrera has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Luis began their career in 1997 as the Director of UNS Main Library, a position they held until 2011. In 1997, they also took on the role of Director at the Biblioteca Central UNS, where they continued until 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Representante para Argentina, Uruguay y Paraguay at International Trade and Marketing Services from July 2012 to December 2015. In 2016, Luis became the Representante en Argentina para ITMS Group for a brief period. Since August 2018, they have been working as a Customer Success Manager at CAS.

Luis Herrera completed their bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Brigham Young University between 1976 and 1980. Luis then pursued further education, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Librarianship from Case Western Reserve University during the academic year 1983-1984.
