Jacob Al-Saleem has a diverse work experience in the fields of scientific content engineering and research. Jacob worked at CAS as a Senior Scientific Content Engineer, where they developed bioinformatic solutions using machine learning and natural language programming to extract scientific knowledge from text. Jacob also worked on connecting this knowledge to in-house data in a knowledge graph for drug discovery and development. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Scientist at CAS. Additionally, Jacob has research experience from their time at The Ohio State University, where they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Graduate Research Assistant.
Jacob Al-Saleem has a strong educational background in the field of Biology. Jacob obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Molecular Genetics at the same university, studying from 2005 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Jacob has also attained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge.
