Rob Old is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in developing innovative solutions in the automotive sector and fleet management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at carwow since August 2021, Rob has played a pivotal role in transforming the company's "Sell my car" proposition into a daily auction model. Previously, Rob contributed as a Software Engineer at carwow's Commercial Product Team, focusing on web applications that facilitate transactions between consumers and dealerships. Prior to joining carwow, Rob was a Software Developer at Fleetsmart UK, where efforts were directed towards enhancing a vehicle tracking platform for commercial fleet management. Academically, Rob holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Sussex and a Master of Science (MSci) in Mathematics with Physics from Durham University.
