Derek Ford is an experienced engineering manager with a robust background in software development and web engineering. Currently serving at CarTrawler since October 2017, Derek has held roles ranging from engineering manager to senior software engineer and senior JavaScript developer. Prior experience includes working as a senior web developer at Pond5, where contributions were made to the Enterprise Team for new business features on the Pond5 website, and as a web developer at Paddy Power, focusing on applications for the sportsbook site. Earlier, Derek operated as a freelance website designer, creating a diverse range of websites for various clients, and worked on web projects for Web Team International. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computing in Multimedia Systems/Web Engineering from the Institute of Art Design & Technology Dun Laoghaire, completed in 2012.
