Renee Fedak

Director, Clinical Immunology at Cartesian Therapeutics

Renee Fedak has extensive work experience in the field of research and engineering. Renee started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park, where they developed microfluidic devices for nanomedicine production. Renee then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute before joining Circulomics Inc as a Senior Engineer. At Circulomics Inc, they contributed to the development of DNA sample prep techniques and played a significant role in the company's acquisition by PacBio. Renee then joined PacBio as a Senior Staff Scientist, where they continued their research in DNA sequencing applications. Most recently, they have been appointed as the Associate Director of Research at Cartesian Therapeutics in 2023. Additionally, they have also worked as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where they developed methods for nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.

Renee Fedak received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2009. Renee then pursued higher education and earned their PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland in 2014.
