Phelan also held significant positions such as Director of Development at Grand Theatre and Director of Strategic Partnerships & Marketing at UNICEF Canada, where major fundraising initiatives were executed. Earlier career highlights include leadership roles in marketing and sales at prominent organizations such as Toronto International Film Festival, Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., and Cahners Publishing. Phelan holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Huron University and has additional ties to the University of Oxford.
