Clyde Johnson is an experienced professional in diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Carroll Community College since January 2021. Johnson has a diverse background in the education sector, having held several key administrative roles at Maryland Institute College of Art from 2008 to 2021, including Associate Dean for Identity and Inclusion and Assistant Dean for Diversity and Intercultural Development. In addition to educational leadership, Johnson is the Owner and Designer of Ce J'ai Designs, specializing in hand-made jewelry crafted from bronze, silver, and gold since 2013. Johnson's career also includes positions at Old Dominion University, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Halifax County Health Department, and Caledonia and Odom Prisons. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Virginia State University, along with a Certificate in Jewelry Design from MICA Jewelry Center.
