Holli Drendel, Ph.D., FACMG, currently serves as the Co-Director of the Parke Cytogenetics Laboratory and Senior Director of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory at Carolinas Pathology Group, a position held since May 2021. Prior to this role, Holli worked at the Medical College of Wisconsin as Co-Director and Associate Director in the Department of Pathology from May 2020 to May 2021. From February 2015 to November 2020, Holli was a Senior Cytogeneticist at Mission Health, focusing on hematological cancer testing and laboratory supervision. Earlier experience includes fellowships in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics at Indiana University School of Medicine (2012-2015) and a postdoctoral research position at Purdue University, where research centered on Aurora kinases and chromosome segregation. Holli earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and C. elegans Genetics from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Iowa State University.
