Omead Amidi is a seasoned engineer and academic with extensive experience in autonomous systems and robotics. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Carnegie Robotics since August 2019, Omead also holds the position of Adjunct Research Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, where leadership is provided to the Autonomous Helicopter Laboratory. Previously, Omead was the CEO of SkEyes Unlimited Corporation from April 2003 to January 2020, focusing on the development of aerial robotic platforms. With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained between 1988 and 1996, Omead Amidi combines academic expertise with industry leadership in advanced technology development.
