Mara Wheaton is an accomplished professional in public relations and communications with a Bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University, earned in 2023. Currently serving as an Account Coordinator at Carmichael Lynch Relate since September 2023, Mara previously worked as a PR Intern for the Brookings Colorectal Cancer Awareness Program, where responsibilities included managing promotions and increasing program visibility through media placements. As Lifestyles Editor for the SDSU Collegian, Mara oversaw reporters and managed content analytics, while earlier experience involved roles as Assistant News Editor and Publicity, Promotions, and Marketing Intern at Art of Living, where tasks included writing press releases and designing marketing materials. Additionally, as a Chamber/Event Intern at the Brookings Chamber of Commerce, Mara demonstrated strong multitasking abilities and effective relationship-building skills.
