Catalin Petrea is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in various domains of geology, currently serving as the Manager of Geology for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia at Carmeuse since December 2018, where involvement includes managing limestone quarries and green fields prospection. Prior to this role, Catalin held multiple positions at PanTerra Geoconsultants BV, specializing in the characterization of carbonate and siliciclastic reservoirs. Catalin's earlier career included roles as a Quaternary Geologist at the National Research Council in Italy and a PhD researcher in carbonate sedimentology at the University of Turin, complemented by foundational education in geology and geography from the University of Bucharest.
