Gang Zhao has been working in the tech industry since 2009. Gang began their career at Edgesoft as a Java Software Developer. In 2011, they moved to Integle, where they held the role of CEO twice. In 2012, they worked at Avego as a NOC and Java Developer, as well as at LIAONING JULONG BANKING EQUIPMENT as a Java Engineer. In 2014, they became the CEO of HSTCL.

Gang Zhao received a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Liaoning University of Technology between 2003 and 2007.
