Sonia Arca de Lafuente is an experienced R&D Scientific Researcher with a focus on Molecular Biosciences. Current involvement at Instituto de Salud Carlos III as a PhD researcher began in March 2023, following a significant tenure at BioAssays from September 2017 to April 2023, where roles included R&D Scientific Researcher, predoctoral investigator, and technology developer. Previous research experience includes engaging as a PhD student at Linköpings universitet in 2020 and as a master’s student at BioAssays in 2017. Academic qualifications comprise a Doctorate in Molecular Biosciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Master's in Microbiology and Parasitology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad de Oviedo.
