Gilles Cnockaert is the Head of the Department for Communications, Fundraising, Education, and Advocacy at Caritas International Belgium since June 2010, focusing on providing assistance to victims of war, natural disasters, and poverty. Previously, Gilles held various positions, including Media & Communication Officer with a strong emphasis on humanitarian issues, an intern for Campaign & Communication at CIDSE contributing to the Climate Justice campaign, and Junior Analyst at Mondofragilis Network. Additional roles include fundraising and communication support at Broederlijk Delen, administrative coordination at the European Network for Central Africa, accounting assistance at Greenpeace Belgium, and communication and advocacy internship at Broederlijk Delen. Gilles holds a Master’s in Social Communications & Journalism from IHECS and a Licence in Applied Communication from Haute Ecole Galilée.
