Darryl Hairston is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of M since April 2017 and as a Legal Analyst at Unitedlex since April 2016. In addition to these roles, Darryl has contributed to the Law Library at UMKC as a student aid since May 2013 and has worked as a server at Carino's Italian since May 2011. Engagement in community service is evident through mentorship at the Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan since September 2007 and previous experience as a Group Leader at KidsCo Inc. Darryl's academic background includes a Doctor of Law (JD) focused on Family Law from UMKC School of Law and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from Kansas State University.
