Tim Kelly has a strong background in the biopharmaceutical industry with experience in various leadership roles. Tim is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Caribou Biosciences since 2024. Prior to that, they held the position of CEO & Board Chair at OXB Solutions LLC, overseeing the spin-out and start-up of a new C&GT service providing business. Tim also generated the concept for the development of a 'plug-n-play' platform for Cell & Gene Therapy therapeutics.

Tim's previous roles include Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Operations Officer at Homology Medicines, Inc., where they played a pivotal role in operations, process & platform development strategy, and product manufacturing strategy & execution for novel Gene Therapy/Gene Editing technology. Tim's extensive experience in technical operations and general management includes their tenure at Shire, where they served as the Head of Biologics Operating Unit, overseeing the end-to-end technical operations of all Biologics clinical & commercial products. Tim also held the position of Head of Technical Operations at Shire's rare disease & specialty therapeutic Technical Operations portfolio.

Before joining Shire, Tim worked at UCB as a General Management Technical Operations member, contributing to the company's global biopharmaceutical operations. Tim also has experience at Biogen, where they held the position of General Management International Operations, supporting global markets and overseeing large-scale Drug Substance site development and investment.
